A long over due honor in this writers opinion as today Russell Crowe received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was accompanied by his beautiful family and honored by words from some of his friends. Such as Ron Howard, who directed Crowe in the films A Beautiful Mind and Cinderella Man.
Jay Leno, Tonight Show host and long time friend also spoke. Crowe is scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show this evening. It was also mentioned that his latest film Robin Hood will be hitting theaters on May 14th. Tomorrow April 13th sees the release of the Indie film Tenderness to DVD for American audiences.
I began following this star after seeing Master and Commander Far Side of the World. I had seen LA Confidential and The Quick and the Dead, even Gladiator. But it was *this* film and the character Captain Jack Aubrey that grabbed my attention.
Ever since that theater visit I've followed the career and doings of Russell Crowe. Fallen for many more characters that have been brought to life though his skills on the big screen. And am looking forward to future adventures in the theaters. Happy Russell Crowe day in the tradition of Hollywood.
